Cons
- Mess alert – as we always say, activated charcoal powder can be really messy stuff. If you use it as a teeth whitener and you use an electric toothbrush, make sure you pop your toothbrush with the toothpaste in your mouth before you turn it on!
- If you are in the market for a natural teeth whitener and plan to just use activated charcoal powder this will work for you but if you are after a “ready made” skincare product eg face mask, toothpaste, deodorant, scrub etc, activated charcoal powder by itself is probably not for you
Handy hints
Store in a cool dry place making sure the product is tightly sealed. Even better, empty it into a glass jar with a tight lid and use a wooden spoon (especially if you are mixing with bentonite clay as well) to scoop out when you need it. How often should I use it?
You can use this every day if you want to. The frequency of use will depend on what you are going to use it for. For example, if you are going to use it as a toothpaste, you can use it each day. If you are going to combine it with other ingredients to make a face mask you might use it say once a week.
